Looking Back: Untapped Workforce

Last week, CACL’s employment initiative, Ready, Willing, and Able (RWA), gave a talk at Untapped Workforce, to discuss the business benefits of hiring people with intellectual disabilities. This eye-opening workshop touched on many points, including:

  • on average, an employee with intellectual disabilities is more precise, accurate, and focused
  • 87% of consumers would rather work with firms that hire workers with disabilities
  • the turnover rate of individuals with intellectual disabilities is a mere 7%
