Earlier this summer we posted about a Huronia Regional Center class action suit moving forward in that blog post there was a reference to people coming forward to document their experiences of abuse and neglect in Rideau Regional Centre and Southwestern Regional Centre. CACL, on behalf of the entire ACL federation, extends sincere congratulations to John Cox of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia on being awarded the 2011 Alan Thomas Fellowship award (from the Carold Institute). John’s award winning application was entitled ‘Getting Included: How Labeled Individuals Have Impacted Inclusion’.
