  We were recently contacted by People with Disability Australia about their Shut In campaign. CACL and People First of Canada Joint Task Force on the Right to Live in Community has endorsed the campaign. By doing so the joint task force has added our voice to the growing number of people globally calling for the end of institutionalised living for people with disability.

Earlier this summer we posted about a Huronia Regional Center class action suit moving forward in that blog post there was a reference to people coming forward to document their experiences of abuse and neglect in Rideau Regional Centre and Southwestern Regional Centre.
