 A few words from CACL's new president Laurie Larson. In this first blog post by Laurie she speaks to a great article that recently appeared in the Victoria Times Colonist on November 10th. The article titled "Why we should be concerned about community living - Creation of an inclusive system for disability support is long overdue" brings to light the long overdue need for creation of an inclusive system for disability support.  I See What You Mean is an interactive project, which juxtaposes a series of portraits by one of Canada's most acclaimed documentary photographers, Vincenzo Pietropaolo, with portraits and self-portraits by gallery visitors.

  We were recently contacted by People with Disability Australia about their Shut In campaign. CACL and People First of Canada Joint Task Force on the Right to Live in Community has endorsed the campaign. By doing so the joint task force has added our voice to the growing number of people globally calling for the end of institutionalised living for people with disability.
