We wanted to share this video with you of how People First of Canada observed United Nations Day for Persons with Disabilities on December 3rd. CACL launched our annual report card on that date and while we were getting the message out that: "Unequal and unsafe: Persons with Intellectual Disabilities not yet fully included". PFC were sending thier own message with this video below:
"In 2010, Canada ratified the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. People First of Canada Celebrates December 3rd along with our peers all over the world. But there is still so much to do. Ratification is only one step. It is time for us to activate and urge governments and communities across Canada to be more active in following through on the promise to respect the Human Rights of our disabled citizens! Be a Game Changer... Close Institutions! Free Our People!"
