Join us in October at the National Maritime Family Kitchen Party

The Canadian Association for Community Living and the New Brunswick Association for Community Living are gearing up for an exciting family conference October 23-24, 2009 in Dieppe, NB.  Join us at the National Maritime Family Kitchen Party.

For more than 50 years families and people with an intellectual disability have been at the heart of the Community Living movement. What started as discussions around kitchen tables in local communities throughout Canada sparked a movement of change that has seen many successes. From these kitchen tables, it was the families and the people with an intellectual disability who fought outdated models of support and demanded services and inclusion in their communities.

These families and friends will once again gather at the table for this national conference, which will provide opportunities for participants to:

Engaging speakers, interactive dialogue, dinner and dancing, as well as youth and sibling sessions will all be part of the program. CACL and NBACL invite everyone who is interested to join them at this important gathering aimed at creating a recipe for change.

Further details on the family conference, including registration and program information, is available on the CACL website: www.cacl.ca and the NBACL website: www.nbacl.nb.ca
