Canadians with intellectual disabilities have the income and resources they need to secure a good quality of life and fully participate in all aspects of their communities.

Benchmarks for Achievement

• The poverty rate of children and adults with intellectual disabilities will not be higher than those of the corresponding general population.
• People with intellectual disabilities, families, and other people who provide support do not incur non-reimbursed expenses related to disability.
